THE INFORMATION ABOUT MY CITY İSKENDERUN


Iskenderun is a modern city at the coast of Mediterrenean Sea near the bay which is remembered with its name. It is a green, and warm for four seasons tourism centre and busy commercial harbour besides, which is based on the Mountain Amanos, behind the coast.Iskenderun, had times of the Romans, Bizantium and Ottoman periods.
Summers are too hot in Iskenderun, where Mediterranean climate is dominating. Plateaus of province, where winters are rainy, are cooler than coastal area
. Winters are mild with moderate rainfall .The countryside contains large areas of fruit groves. It is an important producer of orangestangerines and lemons, and even tropical fruits. İskenderun is a busy commercial centre and is one of the largest cities in Hatay Province.The city is one of Turkey's largest ports on the Mediterranean and an important industrial centre, home to the İsdemir steelworks, one of Turkey's largest. Iskenderun has an active, modern life with good hotels, restaurants and cafes along the palm-lined sea front. There is a variety of accommodation for visitors. It is famous for “künefe” and “döner” as food.

İskenderun Sefa Atakaş Vocational and Technical High School's students completed the drawing about chapter one.

Our students have worked in collaboration for designing the picture about chapter one.They have given ideas and thoughts about the picture related to the themes of our project.

My students have developed their creative skills in designing and drawing by working in that task in our project.
 

OUR E-TWINNING PROJECT'S WEBPAGE




 
As a responsibility and task in the project,the leading teacher Abdullah BARUT and the students of project partner school İskenderun Sefa Atakas Vocational and Technical High School developed and designed an official webpage for the E-Twinning Project.We have gotten the ideas,thoughts and point of views from other our partners' leading teachers and students.We worked in collaboration among other partners for creating that official webpage.My students have downloaded all visual and written materials,logos,works,workshops,documents,videos etc. to the project.

My students have improved their creative thinking and designing abilities.They have gained self confidences in collaborative works with others.They produced a task and work that they had been told to do a task for a duty.

We have shared the ideas and thoughts about writing of th e page in storyjumper by using web 2.0 tools.We have also discussed the other tasks related to our E-Twinning project.They have learnt about web 2.0 tools that is storyjumper designing an e-book.My students have developed their creative skills in writing by working in that task in our project.

The E-Twinning team of my school involved nine students from all grades.Their ages are between 14-18.They are from the grades 9th,10th,11th.They are also from different departments as department of shipping and design and department of maritime navigation.Our school is Maritime and Shipping vocational and technical high school.They will enlarge their educational abilities and skills via this project.
